About the Role
The Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and treatment services to students and their families within multiple school settings. They will become an integral part of the school communities, providing both direct clinical services as well as other supports needed.
What You’ll Do
Provide school-based mental health services to students in three identified schools
Conduct intake and as/needed mental health assessments to students
Provide direct individual and group counseling to assigned students,
Provide family sessions, when indicated, to support the clinical work with the students
Attend appropriate meetings and supervision
Maintain clinical records in an Electronic Health Record and ensure that all documentation is timely, thorough, and youth centered
Refer students to other services as needed
Maintain a rigorous caseload of clients and provide regular and as-needed clinical services
Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
Must possess a valid NY state clinical license (LCSW, LMSW, LCAT, LMFT, LMHC)
Limited Permit holders considered
Previous clinical experience, especially in a school setting, preferred
Knowledge of family systems; Strong writing, oral and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently; Strong computer literacy
The ability to occasionally work evening and Saturday hours
Spanish speaking is preferred

Work Environment:
Clinic/Field/Corporate Office
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, school hours and the work is within three DOE schools. When school is closed, other clinical work will be assigned.
Additional Requirements:
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 3 days or more per week.
Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required)
