Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within a dynamic medical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in an outpatient and clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for patients.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and phlebotomy, EKG and assisting with diagnostic tests.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical billing inquiries.
- Collaborate with staff and physicians to ensure seamless patient care within the clinic setting.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure that all medical equipment is properly maintained and sterilized according to safety standards
Skills
- Proficient in basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to primary care
- Experience with phlebotomy, EKG and familiarity with X-Ray procedures is preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous for efficient documentation practices.
