Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available to provide specialized psychological services for preschool and kindergarten students in a daycare setting. This contract role is based in Staten Island, NY, and requires licensure by the New York State Education Department Office of Professions (NYSED OP). The workday runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for preschool and kindergarten children.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid licensure through NYSED OP as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with early childhood populations (preschool-kindergarten).
- Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
