Prominent Long Island matrimonial and family law firm seeks Associate Attorney with 2+ years of divorce law experience.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on divorce and family law
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Negotiate favorable settlement terms
- Draft comprehensive settlement documents
- Advocate for clients in court
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Assist in trial preparation
- Perform legal research
- Average 35 hours per week billable time
- Maintain professional ethical standards
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the New York Bar
- 2+ years of experience in matrimonial law
- Ability to build and maintain rapport with clients and colleagues
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong legal writing skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
