Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Location: Verona, New York State
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a day-shift assignment in an outpatient radiation oncology setting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a patient-centered approach, and hands-on experience with modern radiation therapy equipment.
Preferred Experience

Experience with TrueBeam systems

CT Simulation experience
Qualifications
-
Graduate of an AAS or AMA-accredited Radiation Therapy program

Registered Radiation Therapist (RRT) credential
-
Active New York State license
-
3–5 years of relevant radiation therapy experience

Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.

Operate and maintain high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment, including:

Linear Accelerators
-
Simulators
-
Co-60 units (as applicable)

Perform CT simulation and pretreatment procedures, including tumor localization, contouring, and data collection for treatment planning.

Verify treatment volumes through radiographic imaging and portal verification.

Coordinate and manage patient treatment schedules and appointments.

Monitor patients for radiation reactions and provide appropriate care instructions.

Ensure all safety measures are followed for patients and staff.

Maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and port films.

Comply with all departmental, institutional, and regulatory policies and procedures.

Participate in departmental in-service training and educational programs.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient care.
