Job Description: The Machine Shop Assistant plays an integral role in the machining process and ensures that machinists have the material needed to create parts. After the parts are machined, the Machine Shop Assistant will clean and pack the parts to move on to the next step in the manufacturing process.
Job Details:
- 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday (1st shift)
- Starting pay $17.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience.
- Onsite in Halfmoon, NY
- On-the-job training provided
- Opportunities for advancement within the shop
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates saws to cut raw material to specified lengths.
- Washes and cleans parts to meet cleanliness standards.
- Wraps and packages finished parts to prevent damage during shipping.
- Polishes and deburrs parts to meet quality specifications.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area.
- Assists machinists and other team members as needed.

- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Associates Degree in industrial applications or machining, preferred.
