Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
Join our team as an Assembler, where you will operate small equipment such as presses, magnetizing and demagnetizing equipment, and scanners. You will be responsible for assembling small and medium-sized parts, fitting and adjusting components, and using indicators, calipers, and gauges for precise measurement. Additionally, you will repair and rework sub-assemblies and major assemblies as needed, and read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
Responsibilities
- Operate small equipment including presses and scanners.
- Assemble small and medium-sized parts with precision.
- Fit and adjust mechanical parts as necessary.
- Utilize indicators, calipers, and gauges for measuring components.
- Repair and rework sub-assemblies and major assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints for accurate assembly.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in small parts assembly and mechanical assembly.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Capability to read a ruler accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with micrometers and calipers.
- Understanding of mechanical assembly techniques.

Work Environment
You will be working in a production setting primarily alone, within a climate-controlled environment. The role involves handling strong magnetics, requiring strength to pull them apart, and working with glues in an enclosed area with ventilation. You will be responsible for delicate parts, where caution is necessary to prevent damage. The position offers flexible shift options: one opening on the 1st shift from 5:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 5:30 am to 9:30 am on Fridays, and one opening on the 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 12:15 am Monday to Thursday and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Fridays, with potential overtime hours.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
