Position: RN-PCU-Progressive Care Unit (Travel/Contract)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly to ensure optimal care.

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.

• Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

• Assist in achieving departmental targets and quality metrics.

• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.

• Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately and timely.

• Engage in performance evaluations and feedback sessions to improve skills.

• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.

• Maintain a high level of visibility in work activities and results.

• Utilize technology and tools to enhance patient care and efficiency.

• Support a positive team environment and contribute to team goals.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license in New York State required for patient care.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and training opportunities.

• Experience in Progressive Care Unit or similar critical care settings preferred.

• Ability to assess and monitor patient conditions accurately and timely.

• Strong accountability for personal performance and achieving departmental targets.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.

• Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols essential for patient care.

• Ability to document patient care activities and outcomes accurately.

• Experience with electronic health records and patient care technology.

• Willingness to engage in feedback sessions for skill improvement.
