As an Industrial R&D Technician, you will assist the R&D team by providing technical support to the global API organization in the verification of products thermal and hydraulic conformance, to required customer specifications.

What You Will Do:
As an Industrial R&D Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our innovation lab, helping us test and refine the next generation of heat exchangers. Your work will directly influence product performance and customer satisfaction across the globe.
- Set up and run thermal and hydraulic performance tests on heat exchangers (aftercoolers, oil coolers, radiators, etc.)
Design and build custom test rigs for specialized testing - Control and troubleshoot problems related to test stands and the lab equipment
- Ensure proper calibration of all test equipment and advise when equipment is not functioning or out of calibration
- Ensure the lab is kept safe and clean
What You Bring:
- 2 years’ of experience working in an industrial lab environment and/or as an HVAC Technician (or related profession)
- AAS Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent from an accredited college
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings/documentation
- Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of the principles of heat transfer technology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and data analysis skills, as well as solution focused!
- Bonus points if you have experience with LabVIEW or possess a Refrigeration certification!
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
