Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair high-capacity commercial and industrial gas/oil burners and heating systems.
- Conduct combustion analysis and make necessary adjustments for efficiency and emissions compliance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues within burner and boiler systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on commercial gas/oil systems.
- Replace and calibrate components including pumps, nozzles, motors, ignition transformers, and control panels.
- Document all work performed, parts used, and complete service reports accurately.
- Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal codes.
- Assist in commissioning newly installed commercial burner systems.
- Respond to emergency service calls on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience servicing commercial gas/oil burner systems
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and burner controls integration
- Familiarity with emissions testing protocols and reporting
- Valid gas/oil burner technician license or certification (as required)
- Strong understanding of combustion theory, burner controls, and boiler operation
- Experience with hydronic and steam boilers and other large mechanical systems
- Ability to read/interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- OSHA 30 certification
