Key Responsibilities


  • Service and repair high-capacity commercial and industrial gas/oil burners and heating systems.

  • Conduct combustion analysis and make necessary adjustments for efficiency and emissions compliance.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues within burner and boiler systems.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on commercial gas/oil systems.

  • Replace and calibrate components including pumps, nozzles, motors, ignition transformers, and control panels.

  • Document all work performed, parts used, and complete service reports accurately.

  • Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal codes.

  • Assist in commissioning newly installed commercial burner systems.

  • Respond to emergency service calls on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience servicing commercial gas/oil burner systems

  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and burner controls integration

  • Familiarity with emissions testing protocols and reporting

  • Valid gas/oil burner technician license or certification (as required)

  • Strong understanding of combustion theory, burner controls, and boiler operation

  • Experience with hydronic and steam boilers and other large mechanical systems

  • Ability to read/interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

  • OSHA 30 certification
