This full-time opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) offers a rewarding experience working with K12 students in a school setting. The engagement spans a full semester, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of May.
Location: Middletown, NY
Schedule: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
Duration: Contract, full semester (start ASAP until end of school year)
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Provide one-on-one or classroom support to students with disabilities
- Collect and document data on student progress and behavior
- Assist in developing strategies to promote positive behaviors and skill acquisition
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support individualized student goals
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience working with students with disabilities in educational or clinical settings preferred
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and commitment to student growth
