About Us
Rigid Security is a fast-growing security and low-voltage integration company specializing in CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and structured cabling for commercial, multi-family, healthcare, and industrial clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Low Voltage Estimator / System Designer to join our team and help us deliver accurate project estimates and system layouts that meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, and site information to develop accurate material and labor estimates.
  • Design low-voltage systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, intercoms, and structured cabling layouts.
  • Prepare proposals, scope of work documents, and bill of materials.
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, and field technicians to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
  • Conduct site surveys when necessary to verify existing conditions.
  • Identify potential project risks and recommend value-engineering solutions.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, product lines, and code requirements.

Desired Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in low-voltage estimating and/or system design.
  • 3+ years, CAD proficient, product-certified
  • Strong understanding of security, surveillance, and structured cabling systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of BICSI, NEC, and other relevant standards.
  • CAD drafting skills for detailed system drawings.
