Emerging Tech is seeking a Training Coordinator to join our State & Local Programs team! This role will support a high-impact training initiative for the New York City Department of Education (DOE), focused on equipping educators, staff, and administrators with tools and knowledge aligned to DOE-wide digital systems and instructional platforms. The ideal candidate is a highly organized training leader with strong project management skills and a proven ability to coordinate large-scale, multi-modal training initiatives. They are comfortable working with diverse stakeholders, managing logistics across boroughs, and developing measurable systems to track training performance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead planning and execution of the training project from kickoff through delivery, ensuring all milestones, logistics, and deliverables are met across boroughs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between DOE and Emerging Tech, ensuring alignment between DOEs needs and proposed training solutions.
- Collaborate closely with DOEs IT, instructional design, operations, and school-based teams to ensure training content, format, and delivery logistics meet stakeholder needs and technical requirements.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive project timeline, identifying key milestones and deadlines for training delivery across all five boroughs.
- Coordinate all logistics for training sessions, including venue selection (if in-person), virtual platform setup, equipment management, and distribution of training materials.
- Create and manage multiple training delivery methods and support tools, such as videos, reference guides, FAQs, live office hours, in-person training, and asynchronous resources.
- Identify, document, and escalate any risks or issues that could impact training implementation; proactively work with DOE and vendor stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain momentum.
- Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to DOE leadership, including attendance tracking, engagement metrics, and post-training assessments.
- Oversee borough-based trainers to ensure consistent delivery and training quality; conduct regular check-ins for feedback and alignment.
- Develop and distribute post-training support materials such as job aids, cheat sheets, and follow-up communications.
- Coordinate ongoing user support through helpdesk resources, virtual office hours, or one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Ensure all training documentation is archived and organized to support internal reporting and audit-related requests.
Qualifications and Skills
- 6+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on coordinating and delivering training programs.
- 3+ years of experience developing or refining training materials for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale training efforts across multiple sites or districts.
- Experience tracking and reporting on training KPIs such as attendance, engagement, and post-training comprehension.
- Proven success managing logistics and resources for both in-person and virtual training environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Smartsheet) and Google Suite.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze training effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Experience working with public-sector or education clients is strongly preferred.

- Annual Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 (based on experience and certifications)
