Job Description: Project Manager HVAC
Position Overview:
Working from our office located in Milton, Ulster County, New York, we are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Project Manager to oversee heating, ventilation, and air conditioning projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and team coordination to ensure that all HVAC installations and upgrades meet industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate the project team, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations through regular site inspections and quality control measures.
- Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Problem Resolution: Identify potential project challenges and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Safety Oversight: Promote and enforce safety protocols on-site, conducting safety training and risk assessments as needed.
- Client Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded throughout the project.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned to enhance future project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HVAC project management, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (PMP, HVAC certifications) are a plus.
Work Environment:
This position may require occasional travel to project sites and the ability to work in various environments, including construction sites. The HVAC Project Manager will work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
