Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support students from Pre-K through 12th grade at a K12 school in Suffern, NY. This contract role begins September 2, 2025, and is expected to continue through the full school year, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to student communication development in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Assist with implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored by the supervising SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to foster student progress and engagement.
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes aligned with SLP protocols.
- Support screenings and data collection to monitor communication outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- SLPA certification preferred.
- Experience with children in school or clinical environments is advantageous but not required.
- Strong ability to follow direction and partner effectively with a supervising SLP.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Location:
- Onsite in Suffern, New York within a school-based setting.
