Job Summary:
Collister Construction is seeking a skilled, self-motivated, and detail-oriented interior painter to join our growing team. We are looking to hire in the Buffalo area. Responsibilities:
- Clean, sand, and scrape surfaces to prepare them for painting.
- Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers using caulking guns or putty knives.
- Remove old paint using paint removers, scrapers, wire brushes, or blowtorches.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired hues.
- Apply paint, varnishes, stains and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Ensure even coverage and smooth finishes without drips, streaks, or missed spots.
- Inspect painted surfaces for completeness and touch up any areas that require additional attention.
- Ensure that all work meets high-quality standards and client specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Must be very dependable and reliable on a day to day basis for your shift.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a interior painter or similar role in the construction industry.
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with interior
- painting.
- You must be very reliable, respectful, and dress with the appropriate work attire as requested my employe.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to mix and match paint colors accurately.
