This role requires a professional committed to providing comprehensive psychological services within a dynamic school environment that involves occasional travel between multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to guide educational planning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Offer professional development and consultation to school staff regarding student behavioral and emotional challenges
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student well-being
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Certification or license to practice as a School Psychologist in New York State
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing intervention strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Flexibility and willingness to travel among school sites within the district
