Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Schenectady, NY is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support the mental health and academic success of students. This role requires a professional committed to providing comprehensive psychological services within a dynamic school environment that involves occasional travel between multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to guide educational planning
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Offer professional development and consultation to school staff regarding student behavioral and emotional challenges
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student well-being

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Certification or license to practice as a School Psychologist in New York State
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing intervention strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel among school sites within the district

Location:This position is based in Schenectady, NY and requires travel to various school sites within the district.
