Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics
Location: Bronx, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks (No Extension)
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Compensation: $2,415 per week (Local Rate)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a 14-week contract assignment at a leading acute care facility in the Bronx, NY. This role focuses on providing high-quality pre-operative and post-operative care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized pediatric patient care plans

Provide bedside nursing care for pre- and post-surgical pediatric patients
-
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
-
Perform dressing changes, insert catheters, and initiate IV therapy
-
Monitor vital signs and specialized equipment, including telemetry
-
Identify and report adverse reactions or changes in patient condition
-
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
-
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection control protocols
Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital

Strong skills in:

Physical assessment

Medication administration

Wound care

IV therapy
-
Post-operative care
-
Telemetry monitoring

Patient and family education

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program

Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)

Current AHA BLS Certification

Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
