Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 40 hours/week | 8 hours/day | Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $50–$52 per hour
Position Summary
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing patients’ nutritional needs, providing nutrition education, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure appropriate diet management. This role includes monitoring patient progress, addressing food and medication interactions, and modifying dietary plans to support optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct nutritional screening and assessments based on patient level of care

Determine individualized nutritional needs and develop appropriate care plans

Interview patients and/or families to gather dietary habits and preferences

Analyze laboratory values, physical assessments, and relevant social factors

Provide nutrition education and document dietary instructions and patient understanding

Modify patient menus to meet prescribed dietary requirements

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to support nutrition therapy
Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dietitian or Nutritionist

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution

Post-Acute Care: NY State Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (NYSED)

Acute Care: Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
