Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students ranging in age from 3 to 22 years old. This contract position spans the full school year and involves providing direct speech and language therapy services within a school district located in Fairport, NY. The role is district-wide, requiring flexibility and collaboration across various school settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, evaluations, and intervention services to students with diverse communication needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation according to district and regulatory guidelines
- Manage caseload effectively, adapting therapy plans to meet student progress and goals
- Uphold licensing and ethical standards in speech-language pathology service delivery
Qualifications:
- Valid NY State Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) status
- Experience working in school-based SLP settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to regulatory requirements
Position Details:
- Location: Fairport, NY (serving district-wide schools)
- Duration: September 2, 2025 June 26, 2026 (school year contract)
- Hours: Up to 7 hours per day paid, with a 7.5-hour day including a 30-minute unpaid lunch; Monday through Friday
- Caseload: To be determined based on district needs
