Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in a multifamily or residential setting
- Experience in tenant or customer service relations is strongly preferred
- Experience with snow removal and plowing
- Live within 30 mins of the property.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- Reliable Transportation
- Highschool diploma, GED, or one-year related experience
- On-Call rotation with compensation offered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in basic construction trades including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Proficient in basic appliance repair
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot a variety of issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
Essential Functions
- Perform general maintenance duties including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting
- Prepare vacant units for new move-ins, ensuring all systems and aesthetics meet property standards
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of the on-call rotation
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to avoid breakdowns and maintain operational efficiency
- Maintain the property’s exterior and grounds, including trash pickup, sweeping, and light landscaping
- Perform routine pool maintenance to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
- Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned by the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
- Assist with snow removal
Work Environment
- This role involves work in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow and humidity
- Potential exposure to dust, electrical currents, heights, and other typical job site hazards
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and on-call emergencies as needed
