Job DescriptionIngersoll Auto of Pawling is looking for an experienced Service Consultant/Writer to join our team! We offer a great work environment, paid time off, paid training, fun work events, and more! The right candidate will have automotive service advisor/writer experience and a valid driver's license. The day-to-day duties of this role include meeting with service guests and determining their needs, writing repair orders, following up with guests on their vehicle status, communicating with technicians on vehicle repairs, and providing excellent customer service that exceeds expectations!

Responsibilities

• Meet with service guests and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle

• Increase guest satisfaction by building guest relations

• Maintain Ingersoll's standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, guest service, and good team member and community relations

• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update guests frequently

• Increase profitability by maximizing sales & executing retail promotions

• Oversee technicians working on guest vehicles, including their time management/efficiency, parts ordering and job completion times

• Oversee and participate in quality control

• Participate in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures as appropriate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record

• Automotive service advisor experience

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks despite interruptions

• Multitasking skills

• Proficient use of computers/business machines
