The ideal candidate has experience in metal finishing, surface preparation, and polishing techniques, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform finishing processes on brass components, including sanding, polishing, and patination.
- Ensure surfaces meet quality standards for texture, sheen, and uniformity.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment to achieve desired results.
- Inspect and correct surface imperfections such as scratches, oxidation, and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure consistency across all finishes.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Refine finishing techniques to improve efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Experience in metal finishing, polishing, or fabrication (lighting, furniture, or architectural hardware experience is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of different metal types and how they respond to finishing techniques.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
