Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Dosimetrist to join a radiation oncology team. As a key member of the radiation oncology team, you will work closely with radiation therapists, medical physicists, and radiation oncologists. Your primary responsibility will be to design, generate, and measure radiation dose distributions and calculations, ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with radiation therapists, physicists, and oncologists to design radiation treatment plans.
- Utilize expertise in math, physics, anatomy, and radiobiology to create radiation dose distributions for both external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) and brachytherapy.
- Assist in radiation safety and quality assurance processes, including machine calibration and patient protection.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dosimetry team, ensuring workload management and effective coordination.
- Provide support for high-level treatment procedures and contribute to patient treatment planning.
- Communicate treatment plans to radiation therapists, ensuring all relevant details, such as field arrangements and beam modifications, are accurately conveyed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Dosimetrist.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in math and physics, with expertise in designing radiation therapy plans.
- Software Experience: 1+ year of experience with EPIC Beacon and/or Aria OIS (Oncology Information Systems).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Certifications: Certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).

Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Dosimetrist.
- Certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
