We are a large electrical contractor. We specialize in indoor electrical construction and maintenance, including complete design build construction, for agencies, utilities, and private enterprises.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for a variety of electrical construction projects.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
- Review material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
- Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction processes.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Ability to read and understand electrical plans and specifications.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
