We are looking for a new helper to develop into full time plumbing mechanics. We focus mainly on residential construction.

Responsibilities as a helper include:

• Knowing material and being able to do supply house runs if needed.
• Grabbing material for mechanics to work efficiently.
• Helping mechanics with on-site procedures such as cutting lengths of pipe, drilling holes for paths, insulating and strapping pipe, Etc.
• Taking stock list for trucks when needed.
• Cutting and threading Black and galvanized steel pipe.

Qualifications

• Basic plumbing knowledge is heavily recommended for this position such as knowing the material and names of fittings and knowing pipe sizing.
• BOCES or any type of Trade School education is preferred but not required IF you have on site experience.
