Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our fleet of heavy equipment and trucks. This role is critical in keeping our operations running smoothly and safely in the field and shop environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on excavators, bulldozers, skidders, trucks, and dump trucks.
- Conduct regular inspections and document maintenance performed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
- Order parts and maintain inventory of shop supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards.
- Occasionally assist with operating equipment if needed (preferred but not required).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic working with heavy equipment and trucks.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and diagnostic tools.
- Must have basic tools for field and shop work.
- CDL license or heavy equipment operating experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
