Winner in the Park, located in the Picnic House in Prospect Park, is seeking a detail-oriented, operations-driven Assistant General Manager (AGM) to oversee the day-to-day management of our high-volume kiosk in Prospect Park, with a focus on guest experience, ensuring the food and beverage offerings, and overall operations run seamlessly and consistently to Winner standards.
The AGM will support the General Manager in executing the daily operations, maintaining product quality, and ensuring the kiosk environment is welcoming, clean, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Product Management
- Oversee daily setup, service flow, and breakdown of the kiosk.
- Ensure products (pastries, sandwiches, coffee, beverages, etc.) are displayed and served to Winner standards.
- Track product levels throughout the day to minimize waste and ensure availability.
- Manage ordering, deliveries, and inventory for kiosk operations.
- Troubleshoot on-the-ground issues quickly and effectively.
Location Management
- Ensure the kiosk and surrounding area are clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
- Maintain compliance with all NYC Department of Health and Parks Department regulations.
- Support a smooth and efficient experience for guests, even during high-volume hours.
- Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance when needed.
Guest Experience
- Be a visible, welcoming presence at Winner in the Park.
- Assist guests with questions about products, menu items, and the Winner brand.
- Resolve guest concerns in a professional, solution-oriented manner.
Collaboration
- Report directly to the General Manager, providing updates on operations, sales, product performance, and guest feedback.
- Partner with the GM to implement new products or service initiatives.
- Communicate with the bakery/café teams to ensure smooth product delivery and supply.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hospitality, café, or quick-service food operations experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and handling.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time hourly position at $25/hour + tips
- Weekend and holiday availability required
