We are growing our team and seeking an experienced Drain Cleaner Technician who is comfortable with both home-service and commercial jobs, ready to take ownership of the truck and deliver a superior customer experience.
Role Summary
The Drain Cleaner Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, cleaning, and repairing drain and sewer systems in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a clean driver’s license, extensive experience in the home-service industry (and a strong commercial background), the ability to work independently, and the drive to provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Respond to service calls for drain, sewer, and plumbing related issues in residential homes and commercial buildings. 
- 
Use and maintain drain cleaning equipment (snakes, hydro-jetters, camera inspection systems, etc.). 
- 
Diagnose the root cause of blockages or system failures and recommend appropriate solutions. 
- 
Liaise with customers onsite: explain issues, provide cost estimates, obtain approvals, complete invoices, collect payments or job documentation as needed. 
- 
Ensure equipment, truck, and tools are maintained in clean, safe, working condition. 
- 
Follow company & safety protocols; maintain clean and professional appearance and attitude. 
- 
Assist with on-call work or emergency call-outs (weekend/after-hours) when required. 
- 
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, time spent, and customer interactions. 
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in drain cleaning, plumbing support, or home-service trades (residential + commercial). 
- 
Valid and clean driver’s license . 
- 
Proven experience using drain-cleaning/hydro-jet equipment and diagnosing drain/sewer problems. 
- 
Ability to work independently, manage time and job priorities, and maintain professional customer interactions. 
- 
Ability to bend, lift up to 75lbs or more, work in tight spaces, climb ladders. 
- 
Excellent communication skills, good problem-solving mindset, and good record-keeping. 
- 
Comfortable being on call or doing emergency work as required. 
Preferred Qualifications
- 
Experience servicing commercial properties (multi-unit, industrial, municipal). 
- 
Familiarity with camera inspection systems, pipe locating, water jetting. 
- 
Plumbing license or certifications (if applicable to your state). 
- 
First aid/CPR certification. 
- 
Proven track record of recommending preventative services. 
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay Range:
- 
$28.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience,mindset and ability to handle residential & commercial work. 
- 
Potential for overtime, on-call/after-hours premiums, and commission structure.
