JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: FACILITY MANAGER
FLSA: EXEMPT
DEPARTMENT: FACILITIES DEPARTMENT
LOCATION: YONKERS, NY
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES
SALARY: $90,000.00
SUMMARY: Responsible for all facilities related operations including the administrative and technical aspects of the maintenance and custodial departments in our Westchester shelters and other locations. The Facility Manager will also ensure proper purchasing and inventory control procedures. This position reports to the Director of Facilities. Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train, schedule, supervise and evaluate all maintenance and custodial staff.
- Manage multiple work crews in various locations.
- Conduct regular full building inspections (interior, exterior, and grounds) and take corrective action as needed.
- Coordinate regular apartment inspections.
- Manage prevention maintenance program.
- Assist with preparing scopes of work, obtaining bids and oversee subcontractors’ work.
- Maintain fleet of agency vehicles
- Oversee computerized work order system.
- Oversee facility purchases and contracts and ensure verification of invoices for proper billing.
- Repair or secure arrangements for repair of all appropriate items / areas as needed.
- Coordinate the timely turnover of all units and inspect units upon completion.
- Develop and implement facility plan to accomplish work both on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Develop and implement a landscape care program for the entire portfolio
- Perform all related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or Associates’ Degree preferred and 5-7 years of progressive experience in facility management and supervision of staff. Comprehensive knowledge of various building codes and trades and budget management required. Affordable housing experience preferred. Candidates must be flexible to work evening and weekends if needed. Valid Driver’s License and vehicle is required. Excellent communication and verbal skills and bi-lingual a plus.
