Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced A-Rated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role requires strong proficiency in hydraulics, diagnostics, and state inspections.

Responsibilities:

· Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and construction equipment

· Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems

· Conduct NYS vehicle inspections in compliance with safety standards

· Maintain accurate service records and reports

· Ensure equipment is in safe and reliable operating condition

· Respond to emergency repairs as needed

· Adhere to company and regulatory safety procedures

Qualifications:

· A-rated diesel mechanic with minimum 5 years of hands-on experience

· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics

· Valid NYS Motor Vehicle Inspector License required

· Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred — must be willing to obtain if not already held

· Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools

· Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills

· Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
