Intelligence team // Vision + Leadership
Embedded within the Strategy practice, we are the go leads for driving intelligence, insight and expanding the knowledge of the broader agency. We empower our teams and our clients by providing simple and clear profiles of their target audiences and their respective journeys. We partner closely with the Brand, Medical and Omnichannel Strategy teams to uncover the hidden truths and spotlight the opportunities for brands to meaningfully reach and engage our priority audiences – making a difference in peoples lives and driving impact for the brands we partner with.
As the Audience Intelligence Leader, you will shape how our agency discovers, decodes, and activates human insight. You’ll synthesize syndicated research, primary research, social listening, and real-world evidence to uncover the beliefs, behaviors, and unmet needs that drive the critical decisions being made by our clients’ audience(s). Your work will power audience segmentation, patient-journey mapping, and persona development that fuel brand, media, and experience strategy for top pharmaceutical and biotech clients. You’ll partner closely with Strategy, Media, and Client Service, and serve as a senior thought leader in new-business pitches and organic growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate multiple data sources (e.g., IQVIA, DRG, Symphony, Nielsen, CRM/claims, EHR extracts, custom qual/quant, social listening) to deliver holistic views of audiences.
- Design and oversee segmentation studies that feed brand strategy and omnichannel planning.
- Build dynamic patient-journey frameworks—including emotional and behavioral drivers—to inform messaging, content, and channel mix.
- Translate complex data into compelling narratives and visualizations for client and internal consumption.
- Publish POVs on emerging data assets, privacy changes, and AI/ML applications in healthcare marketing.
- Partner with Strategy and Media leads to connect audience insights to positioning, creative briefs, and precision media activation.
- Evolve our audience-intelligence toolkit—select new data vendors, refine methodology, and operationalize best practices.
- Across engagements, champion data governance and compliance (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, GDPR/CPRA).
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of analysts and researchers; foster a culture of curiosity and rigor.
- Serve as insight lead on pitches, audience POVs, and winning narratives that drive agency revenue growth.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in healthcare/pharma research, analytics, or marketing; agency experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated mastery across syndicated data (e.g., Spherix, Kantar), primary qual/quant, social listening, and real-world evidence.
- Hands-on experience designing audience segmentations, patient/HCP journeys, personas, and opportunity assessments.
- Proven success partnering with Strategy, Media, and Account teams to translate insight into omnichannel activation and measurable business impact.
- Proficiency in analytics and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python/R a plus).
- Comfortable presenting to senior client stakeholders and representing the agency at industry events.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, FDA advertising regulations, and data-privacy best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Behavioral Science, Public Health, Statistics, or similar; advanced degree preferred.
