We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cost Engineer to join our team. This role involves planning, conducting takeoffs, reconciling construction contractor costs, and performing Excel analysis. The successful candidate will develop and manage Excel spreadsheets to support project activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute project takeoffs.
  • Reconcile construction contractor costs.
  • Conduct detailed Excel analysis.
  • Develop and manage Excel spreadsheets.
  • Engage in change order negotiations.
  • Collaborate with the construction management (CM) team.

Essential Skills

  • 2-5+ years of experience in construction management.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience in change order negotiation.
  • Background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP).
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam and AutoCAD.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position requires 100 percent in-office work. Employees will have the opportunity to work closely with a CM team at Hillview, gaining valuable industry experience. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
