- Manage all phases of discovery and document production, including organizing, indexing, Bates stamping, and trial binders.
- Prepare, review, revise, file (e-file and paper), and serve legal documents, pleadings, notices, and court orders.
- Provide comprehensive litigation support, including trial preparation, motion practice, and closing of agreements.
- Draft and assist with chronologies, witness statements, net worth statements, subpoenas, and discovery responses and objections.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and other databases.
- Serve as liaison among attorneys, clients, courts, and outside law firms; notarize documents as needed.
- Receive, review, scan, profile, index, manipulate, and manage incoming and outgoing documents using NetDocs.
- Handle NYSCEF and EDDS filings, including downloading, reviewing, profiling, and managing court documents.
- Maintain accurate document inventories, profiles, and production logs; identify and flag irregularities.
- Bring over 7 years of matrimonial and family law paralegal experience with strong knowledge of NY court procedures, electronic filings, and legal software (NetDocs, CenterBase, Microsoft Office).
