This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale engineering operations for a high-growth SaaS platform, driving both technical strategy and team excellence. You will oversee multiple engineering teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable web applications with rich data visualizations. Accountabilities:
- Lead multiple engineering teams through managers and staff, ensuring alignment with product and business objectives.
- Shape and execute the technical strategy to support scalable, performant, and user-friendly web applications.
- Collaborate with product and design leaders to define and prioritize the engineering roadmap and deliverables.
- Oversee engineering execution, promoting best practices, code quality, and iterative development processes.
- Mentor and develop engineering leaders, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and high performance.
- Balance short-term delivery priorities with long-term platform strategy and technical investments.
- Advocate for engineering excellence and operational efficiency across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, including managing multiple teams through managers or team leads.
- Proven track record in B2B SaaS or enterprise software environments, delivering complex, customer-focused products.
- 8+ years building scalable web applications with large datasets and rich visualizations.
- Experience guiding and mentoring engineering managers and senior technical staff.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance immediate business needs and long-term technical investments.
- Practical understanding of AI applications and their integration to enhance product functionality or internal processes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing across teams.
- Familiarity with a modern tech stack, including React, TypeScript, Ruby, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Preferred:
- Experience scaling high-performing engineering teams in growth-stage SaaS companies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain inclusive team cultures while driving performance and accountability.
