Patent Attorney - Mid-Level Associate (5-7 Years)
Location: Summit, NJ (Hybrid- 2 days in office)
Compensation: $160,000-$220,00 Base Salary (commensurate with experience)
A highly regarded Patent/IP law firm is seeking a mid-level Patent Attorney with 5-7 years of substantive experience in patent preparation and prosecution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and demonstrated expertise in drafting patent applications across cutting-edge technologies.
Key Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in patent application preparation and prosecution
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering
- Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) required
- Experience with patent drafting in computer-oriented fields - including machine learning, internet-based technologies, or medical devices - is strongly preferred
Role Requirements:
- Ability to work onsite at least part-time; candidates based in New Jersey or nearby locations are strongly encouraged to apply
- Exceptional written communication, attention to detail, and ability to interface with inventors and clients
