Role basics

  • Category: Hourly Full-Time
  • Shift path: 1st shift for training, then 3rd shift

Your mission Instrumentation scope

  • Diagnose, configure, and sustain PLC systems and single-loop controls across field operations.
  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot analog and SMART instruments and analytical equipment from diverse OEMs.
  • Service final control elements—pneumatic, electric, and solenoid-operated valves; calibrate pneumatic and SMART valve positioners (shop and field).
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics; read and redline loop sheets and P&IDs.
  • Perform routine and regulatory calibrations on field instruments supporting boilers and environmental systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Work under NFPA70E guidance for Arc Flash and Shock hazards.
  • Calibration and maintaining control instrumentation.

Electrical scope

  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair AC/DC drives and stand-alone process drives across multiple manufacturers.
  • Install and maintain mechanical limit, proximity, photoelectric, speed, and reflective switches.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics for efficient diagnosis and repair.
  • Execute repair and preventive maintenance on 480v thru 13.8kv power distribution switchgear.
  • Follow NFPA70E standards for Arc Flash and Shock hazards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years working with instrumentation and electrical systems.

  • Comfort in industrial settings that may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, noisy, involve hazardous chemicals and heavy machinery, elevated work areas, and confined spaces (with proper training and protection).
  • Complete technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on skills assessment.
  • Flexibility to work any shift/rotating schedules; frequent overtime with short notice; regular weekend and holiday work.
  • Commitment to PPE and safety protocols.

Preferred profile

  • Associate’s degree and/or certifications in Industrial Maintenance or related instrumentation/electrical fields.
  • 5+ years’ experience with instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Industrial environment experience.
