Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Special Education Teacher New Hartford, NY Area
Location: Near New Hartford, NY
Start Date: As soon as available
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 3:30 PM (35 hours/week)
Openings: 57
Pay: $40$50/hour
Soliant Education is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join school-aged classrooms serving students ages 522 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is an onsite role for the 20252026 school year.
Classroom Structure:

6 students per class
-
6:1:3.5 support ratio

Approximately 8085% of students are on the Autism spectrum
Responsibilities:
-
Deliver individualized instruction and IEP-based lessons
-
Collaborate with support staff (paraprofessionals, therapists, case managers)

Track student progress and update goals

Maintain pliance with all district and state education guidelines
Requirements:

Current Special Education certification (New York State)

Experience with Autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred

Ability to work onsite in a structured classroom environment
