Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years CT Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare facility in Pittsford, NY is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a contract position. This role involves performing CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort through clear communication and proper procedure. The CT Technologist will work closely with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging and maintain detailed patient records.
Responsibilities include confirming patient identity and exam details, preparing and positioning patients (including those with limited mobility), inserting IVs when required, and ensuring that all images are accurately documented and transmitted using electronic systems. Maintaining a clean and safe scanning environment is also essential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- New York State licensure obtained prior to starting the position
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Skills:
- Injection certification or willingness to complete this training during orientation
- Familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment
