Field Service Engineer
Were looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Rochester, NY. This is a Full-Time position requiring 3-5 years of relevant experience. A Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
Overview
In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery and performance of customer sites. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in process applications and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing concerns and problems.
- Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services on-site, online, and by phone.
- Execute Factory Acceptance Testing and support site management.
- Conduct start-up, commissioning, and testing for engineered systems.
- Document and maintain records of services performed.
- Actively support project site management, installation, start-up, and commissioning.
- Assist with building electrical panels, process systems installation, calibration, and testing.
- Promote and maintain strong business relationships with customers and vendors.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of PLC programming, hardware applications, and instrumentation testing.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in service-related functions, particularly in process-related machines and products.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to clients in the food and beverage or pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid drivers license for travel within the US and Canada.
- Ability to work irregular hours, with travel up to 75% of the time.
