About This Role

Techvera is looking for an IT Field Service Technician to join our New York team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting multiple clients for routine site visits and emergent issues. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and ensuring the seamless functionality of their technology platforms.


This is a hands-on role where you'll be out in the field, tackling complex technical issues, implementing new solutions, and offering expert guidance. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of IT challenges, from troubleshooting hardware and software to configuring network devices and managing cloud platforms. The ideal candidate is comfortable being the face of Techvera in a variety of environments, from law firms to restaurants and more.

What You Bring

  • IT Support experience supporting clients with complex technology platforms.
  • Experience dealing with challenging tickets, scenarios and clients.
  • Core Technologies: Microsoft 365 - Exchange, Sharepoint, OneDrive, InTune.
  • Email platforms including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • New Network Setups and Upgrades - including Sonicwall, Meraki and Cisco Small Business Switches.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, networking, VPN and firewalls.
  • Basic understanding of Sonicwall, Meraki, Ubiquiti and Cisco Small Business Products preferred.
  • Windows 8/10/11 - Basic Support relating to the tickets being worked on.
  • Mac OsX Support - Basic Support relating to the tickets being worked on.
  • Some exposure to Connectwise Command or similar RMM products.
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise, IT Glue, RMM tools, and ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand for extended periods, and use basic hand tools.
