Role Overview
A leading New York-based law firm is actively hiring an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its team. The position is ideal for someone who has deep exposure to high-volume, complex real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, financing, and title and survey reviews. Candidates should be detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working under pressure in a busy legal setting.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, revise, and analyze real estate contracts, lease agreements, and closing materials

Examine and interpret title commitments, property reports, and transaction documents

Conduct research on land use laws, tax codes, and compliance regulations

Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, brokers, and title officers

Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation for client matters

Support attorneys during transaction closings and negotiations

Draft legal certifications, affidavits, and assist with deposition preparation

Track key dates related to financial transactions, evictions, and foreclosure actions

Address client inquiries promptly and coordinate follow-up where needed
Required Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of recent experience handling commercial real estate matters within a prominent law firm

Strong expertise in title/survey review, lease and purchase agreements, and property financing deals

A bachelor's degree or a formal paralegal certification

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision

Experience handling closings across multiple properties or jurisdictions

In-depth familiarity with New York commercial real estate practices and documentation standards
