As the Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Compile monthly/quarterly statistics and submit them to the Health Care Coordinator.
- Enter all medical information from all doctor appointments onto the computer as well as into the CONNEX system.
- Receive reports from shifts related to medical issues.
- Schedule sick visits for the day as needed.
- Observe clients taking and administering medications properly.
- Upon intake and annually assess all youth’s ability to self-administer medication.
- Review intake documents and medical documentation for potential referrals and make a recommendation regarding the agency’s ability to meet youth’s medical needs prior to admission.
- Send all medical information in to youth’s respective counties in accordance with our current contracts (ie: email to Albany County.)
- When clients return from the appointment, note and schedule any lab tests, x-rays, referrals and follow-up on appointments. Make Residential Manager aware of all appointments to ensure proper staffing and transportation.
- Note any prescriptions ordered and record in Kardex. (Make sure what is written on the prescription bottle matches what the doctor's office states.)
- Check prescriptions and call in any refills prior in sufficient time so that clients do not run out of medications.
Certified Nursing Assistant Minimum Salary: $ 20.00
Certified Nursing Assistant Maximum Salary: $ 23.00
Certified Nursing Assistant Schedule: Monday - Friday (35 hours/week)
- May require evening or weekend hours depending on program specific needs
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant license required
- 1 - 3 years of experience working with a diverse population
- VALID NYS Driver's license, proof of current car insurance and registration and access to a reliable, working vehicle
