Job Title: Credentialing Coordinator
Location New York 10004
Shift: 9 am to 5 pm
Contract: 2-month assignment with possible extension
Duties & Responsibilities:
Quality Coordinator/Specialist – Credentialing
Requirements:
-
Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA) required
-
Experience: 1–2 years in credentialing
-
Preferred Experience:
-
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with OPPE/FPPE processes
-
Experience using MD Stat Peer Review software
-
-
Certifications (Preferred):
-
CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management)
-
CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)
-
Key Responsibilities:
-
Facilitate Peer Review, OPPE, and FPPE processes using MD Stat software
-
Assign performance cards and reviewers in MD Stat
-
Analyze, extract, and report on data related to professional practice evaluations
-
Interpret and ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies
-
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutes, laws, and standards related to credentialing
Credentialing Specialist Duties:
-
Manage all aspects of provider credentialing, including:
-
Initial appointments and reappointments
-
Credential audits
-
Clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other providers
-

Utilize MDStaff credentialing software to perform and monitor credentialing/background checks
-
Ensure accuracy and integrity of credentialing data
-
Interpret and apply policies, hospital bylaws, and relevant regulations
Preferred Tools:

MD Stat Peer Review software
-
MDStaff credentialing platform
