CT Technologist (Contract)
Location: New York, NY (10003)
Assignment Duration: 8 Weeks (High possibility of extension)
Shift: Night Shift – 5×8 Hours (12:00 AM – 8:30 AM)
Pay Rate: $63 – $75 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a short-term night assignment at a major healthcare facility in New York City. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CT imaging, comfortable working overnight shifts, and experienced with advanced imaging systems in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate CT imaging equipment accurately and efficiently
- Administer IV contrast following certification and facility guidelines
- Verify patient identity, exam orders, and imaging parameters prior to scanning
- Review images for diagnostic quality and completeness
- Document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, safety, and readiness
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and physicians
Required Skills & Experience
- IV Certification (mandatory)
- Strong experience performing CT imaging procedures
- Prior experience operating Siemens CT equipment preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Certifications & Licensure (Required)
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist – R.T.(R)
- ARRT Registered Technologist in CT – R.T.(CT)
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License (DOH NYS)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- IV Certification
