Specialty Pharmacist Contract-to-Hire Role
Location: New York, NY 10024
Assignment Type: Temp-to-Perm

Pharmacy Operating Hours:

• Weekdays: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

• Saturdays: 9:00 AM 2:00 PM
  Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

• One Saturday shift every seven weeks

Position Overview:
Join a high-volume specialty pharmacy located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. This contract-to-permanent position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, clinically focused environment where accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism are critical. We are seeking a pharmacist who can lead by example, ensure quality standards, and contribute meaningfully to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and report to the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)

• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff during daily operations

• Ensure all medication dispensing adheres to regulatory guidelines and company policies

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and proper administration

• Maintain workflow efficiency in a setting that processes 800+ prescriptions daily

Qualifications:

• Current and active New York State pharmacist license in good standing

• Experience in retail, mail-order, or specialty pharmacy is required

• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume setting

• Must be comfortable with prolonged standing during shift hours

Physical Requirements:

• Extended periods of standing or walking

• Regular use of hands and fingers to handle medication and equipment with precision
