Job Title: Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach
Reports To: Joseph Dolan
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exemple (Hourly)
Summary/objective
Assist with training sessions and play a major role in recruiting
Essential functions

Assistant coaches’ essential functions are to assist with training session and recruiting. Assistant coach will arrive significantly early to sessions to help set up cones as well as add input on the sessions. During the session the role will be to add helpful tips and tactics to the session when needed and demonstrate drills. Recruiting responsibilities include traveling to showcase events and being independent in locating and communicating to recruits.
Supervisory responsibilities –
There are no supervisory roles in this position
Work environment
- Office Setting: Cubicles, open desks, or private offices with access to necessary tools like computers, phones, and office supplies.
- Remote Setting: Working from home or another location with access to virtual communication platforms and necessary technology.
Physical demands
- Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.
- Typing/Computer Use: Frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse.
- Vision Requirements: Ability to read and view screens for extended periods.
- Speaking/Hearing: Regular communication with coworkers and clients in person, over the phone, or via video calls.
- Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lifting or moving items up to 10-15 pounds, such as office supplies, laptops, or documents (general soccer equipment).
- Reaching/Bending: Periodic reaching for or bending to access files, supplies, or equipment.
- Mobility: must be able to demonstrate soccer related tasks
Travel required –
Required to attend all the teams' events. This includes overnight visits (typically one per season), away games, and any international trips. You must also be willing to travel for recruiting; the distance will depend on the location of the showcases.
Required education and experience
- High school Degree
- Competitive soccer experience, ideally at the college level
- Progress in a coaching course or license
Preferred education and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience recruiting
- Experience in sales
- Experience coaching a team as a head coach
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States. MSMC does not sponsor employment visas at this time.
