Flooring Installer Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Flooring Installer with experience in sanding and refinishing to join our company. You will lay down a variety of floor materials based on our client’s specifications, including hardwood and vinyl. Other job duties include demolition and removal of existing flooring, transporting materials and equipment, cleaning and preparing the floor surfaces, and applying stains and polyurethanes when necessary. Our company works with large and small residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You must be proficient in using standard hand and power tools and familiar with different aspects of flooring installation and refinishing. Candidates must have experience in hardwood flooring and refinishing.
Flooring Installer Duties and Responsibilities
- Proficiency in refinishing by sanding, repairing and applying finishes such as stains and polyurethanes to flooring.
- Assess work sites to determine possible issues and make recommendations accordingly
- Prepare surfaces for installation by removing old floors.
- Proficient hand and power tools to install flooring materials.
- Work alongside other installers while emphasizing safety and efficient use of time and materials
- Inspect finished work to ensure customer satisfaction and the highest possible standards of work
Flooring Installer Requirements and Qualifications
- Prior experience as a flooring installer and refinisher.
- Comprehensive knowledge of flooring materials and installation techniques
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds
- Keen attention to detail
