Pay: $28.00 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Saturday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Sunday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Total Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a polished, professional Security Officer to support a confidential, high-end fashion retail environment in Lower Manhattan's Tribeca area. This is a highly visible role requiring strong situational awareness, discretion, and a refined approach to guest interaction in a fast-paced, style-forward setting.

The ideal candidate is confident engaging with the public, comfortable managing steady foot traffic, and capable of maintaining a calm, controlled presence while supporting an elevated retail experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and authoritative presence throughout the retail space

• Support an orderly, upscale environment by monitoring guest movement and store activity

• Manage guest flow during peak periods, busy weekends, or special retail activations

• Identify, address, and escalate suspicious or disruptive behavior in a discreet and professional manner

• De-escalate situations using calm, respectful communication and sound judgment

• Communicate clearly with store leadership regarding incidents, concerns, or operational needs

• Maintain confidentiality regarding clientele, staff, and internal operations at all times

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License (required)

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, corrections, or similar roles preferred

• Experience in luxury retail, high-visibility, or guest-facing environments is a plus

• Strong situational awareness, decision-making skills, and professional judgment

• Excellent communication, customer-service, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods and remain alert throughout the shift

• Reliable transportation and consistent availability for scheduled weekend shifts

Compensation & Benefits

• $28.00 per hour

This position requires extended standing, active monitoring, and regular interaction with the public. The role is based in person at a confidential luxury retail location in the Tribeca area. Consistent availability for the scheduled weekend shifts is required.
