We are seeking a qualified and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team. Feldman Physical Therapy has been providing personalized & exceptional physical therapy services in White Plains since 1999. As an established single-location, physical therapist-owned clinic, we offer a warm & supportive atmosphere that considers each patient’s unique needs with customized care and an outcome-focused approach. This is a bustling, fast-paced practice that treats a wide range of populations. We pride ourselves in being an inviting and communal space where everyone is welcomed and treated like family. Our patient demographic ranges from 6 years old to over 100, encompassing a wide variety of diagnoses including orthopedic, pre & post-surgical, neurological, geriatric, workman’s comp, and no-fault among many others.
We are looking for a per diem Physical Therapist. You will provide Feldman PT patient coverage independently during specific work hours.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and modify therapeutic interventions that may include but are not limited to therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy (including soft tissue and joint mobilization), physical agents or modalities, and patient-related instruction (including home exercise program)
- Deliver compassionate care, and empathy throughout the therapeutic process.
- Make recommendations for appropriate treatment options, courses of action, or adjustments to selected therapies
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation and record patients' progress on their medical record, including performance measurements, initial evaluations, SOAP notes for each visit, reevaluation, and discharge
- Practice in a safe manner that minimizes risk to patients, self, and others
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion and provide care and maintenance of facility equipment
- Adhere to proper work schedule
- Comply with dress code policy
Skills:
- Proficiency in conducting hands-on therapeutic exercises, functional training, and utilizing various physical modalities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good documentation competence in healthcare administration
- Good time management and ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
Education / Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited PT School
- State License: Possession of a valid license issued by the State of New York
- Experience is preferred but recent grads are welcome to apply
- Must carry personal malpractice insurance
- Strong work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Good communication and written skills
- Self-motivated; able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, time management & organizational skills required
Benefits:
- Job Type: Per Diem
- Pay: $60 per hr
- Schedule: Approx. 8 hours per week
